Ore beneficiation plant(U100):
The main task of this unit is to raise the quality of the phosphate rock introduced from Akashat from 21% P2O5 to 30% P2O5 in order to be appropriate for phosphoric acid and phosphate fertilizers industry . |

Sulfuric acid plant (U200):
This unit undertakes the production of concentrated sulfuric acid from sulfur ore ,the plant consists of three production lines of total design capacity 1.5 million ton per year .

Phosphoric acid plant (U300):
This unit undertakes the production of concentrated phosphoric acid of 54% P2O5 concentrated, through the reaction of concentrated sulfuric acid produced by (U200) with the mineral dressed ore taken from (U100) . This unit consists of two production lines of total design capacity 400000ton per year.

Fertilizers plant (U400):
This plant consists of three different fertilizers units, namely:
a- Triple super phosphate(TSP):
This unit produces TSP fertilizers by using concentrated phosphoric acid produced by (U300) and the beneficiated phosphate rock produced by (U100). The plant consists of two similar production lines of total design capacity 600000 ton per year.
b- Mono ammonium phosphate (MAP):
This unit produces MAP by using concentrated phosphoric acid produced by (U300) and ammonia . The MAP is used as a raw material to produce the compound fertilizers . The plant of capacity 280000 ton per year.
c- Compound fertilizer plant (NP,NPK):
This plant consists of two production lines for compound fertilizers of different concentration of constituent elements N & P … where MAP ,Urea, ammonia and H2SO4 are used to produce NP fertilizer ,potassium sometimes added with
small percentage to produce NPK according to the designer method. At present ,MAP is hardly produced due to the lack in the production of phosphoric acid within specified quality .So the production of NP 18:18 is obtained by direct reaction of phosphate rock and phosphoric acid. Design capacity for the plant reaches 655000 ton per year.

Ammonia plant (U451):
Ammonia is produced in this plant from natural gas , the product is considered as a raw material for( MAP,NP ) industry besides other uses. The design capacity for this plant is about 50000 ton per year. |

Fluorine salts plant (U500):
Fluosilisic acid produced as a by-product in the phosphoric acid plant is used in this plant and converted in to two kinds of Fluorine salts:
1- Aluminum Fluoride AlF3:
It is formed by the reaction of Fluosilisic acid and Aluminum hydroxide used as an input material. The design capacity is about 11000 ton per year.
2- Cryolite NaAlF6:
It is formed by Flousilisic acid ,Aluminum hydroxide and sodium carbonate as an in put material. design capacity is about 6400 ton per year.
Fluorine salts production is ceased at present due to some technical problems .the stalled production lines is used to produce synthetic substitutes such as:
Zeolite :
which's normally used in detergents manufacturing. At present this product is used rather than the imported product by the state company for vegetable oils in detergents production.
Triple Sodium phosphate Na3PO4:
Been exploiting the plant equipment for the production of this type of alternatives and use this product in removing scale sediments in the steam boilers but are currently being used as self consumption product in the unit (U620). Plant capacity is about 15 ton per month.
Ammonium chloride NH4Cl:
Plant equipment has been exploitation with some modifications to produce such product which can be used in the leather industry and the possible production 5 tons per month the possibility increased in case of hydrochloric acid availability.
Silica-gel H2SiO3:
A separate independent plant was constructed for the production of this product . it is used for moisture absorbent –agent from the air and can be used for other uses.
Sodium fluorosilicate Na2SiF6:
This product is used as an alternative for the production of brick and acid-cement resistant .the capacity of this line 3 ton per month in case of H2SiF6 acid availability.
Pure Silica SiO2:
It can be produced in case of the availability of H2SiF6 acid with ammonia . 2 ton per month can be produced . there is a proposal for the production of a product NH4F which is considered as a by-product for pure silica.

Utilities plant (U620):
The main duty for this plant is supporting other plants by:-
- production of treated water for industrial purposes to fulfill the need of the company as well as the production of potable water and reach the design capacity of water treatment project 180000 m3/day.
- production of cooling water with design capacity of 21000m3/day.
- production of de-mineralized water design capacity of 7200m3/day.for the need of the Complex for this water.
- Industrial air production of design capacity 144000m3/day.
- instrumentation air production of design capacity 20880m3/day.
- Electricity production ,design capacity 34.8 Meca watt
- Industrial –waste treatment and to proceed this waste produced by the production plants as by-products like phospho-gypsum resulting from the process of phosphoric acid .as well as treating the slime waters resulting as residuals from the ore beneficiation unit . in the waste treatment plant base –acid equalization occurs.
