Company's profile:

The Chemical complex was established in 1976 by a Belgian company "" Sybetra"" as a general contractor with a capital of 350 million Iraqi dinars ,and started production in 1985 ,the Complex consists of a set of integrated and interrelated plants to produce chemical fertilizers as a final product ,these plants are ( ore beneficiation plant, sulfuric acid plant, phosphoric acid plant, the utilities plant, fertilizers plants, ammonia plant, fluorine salts plant, and materials handling plant). The main objective of the company is to carry out the detailed exploration and investigations of phosphate deposits as well as production and transfer of phosphate ores for beneficiation and production of phosphate fertilizers , compound fertilizers and various products and by-products including complementary industries for the production of phosphatic compounds.

 Technological route and production method:

 The Chemical Complex is considered as a series of plants interrelated together in order to obtain different kinds of phosphate fertilizers like(MAP,TSP1,TSP2,NPK1,NPK2) supported by other chemical plants such as (ore beneficiation plant, sulfuric acid plant, phosphoric acid plant, utilities plant, fertilizers plant ,ammonia plant), The mentioned fertilizers can be produced as follows:

 1- Compound Fertilizer (NPK):

 The production of this kind of fertilizer depends on the reaction of solid products like(Urea , MAP) with liquid products like TSP slurry ,liquefied ammonia ,sulfuric acid, water, steam)

 2-Triple Super Phosphate (TSP):

 The production of this kind of fertilizer depends on the reaction of concentrated phosphoric acid with the rock phosphate .

 3- Mono ammonium phosphate (MAP):

The production of this kind of fertilizer depends on the reaction of the concentrated phosphoric acid with ammonia
